Inside Korea Guide is an independent travel guide written from inside Korea. We live here, ride the same subway lines, queue at the same markets and check the same weather apps you will. Our goal is simple: help you plan a trip to Korea with information that is practical, accurate and current.

Who writes this site

The guides are written by Dragon Kim (Kim Jinyeol), a Seoul-based writer and researcher who has spent 40 years exploring Korea's cities, small towns and islands.

How we research

• We visit places in person whenever possible, and say clearly when a guide is based on research rather than a visit.
• We check prices, opening hours, transport schedules and entry rules against official sources such as the Korea Tourism Organization and operator websites.
• Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We revise guides when fares, routes or rules change.
